Much like the rest of you, wordpress sent me the summary of my blog through 2012. My blogs 1 year birthday is actually in Feb, but i can’t believe it’s been that long already!

Crunchy numbers
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 3,700 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 6 years to get that many views.
In 2012, there were 139 new posts, not bad for the first year! There were 558 pictures uploaded, taking up a total of 80 MB. That’s about 2 pictures per day.
The busiest day of the year was August 5th with 70views. The most popular post that day was my nails for the wedding.
Galaxy Nails
Sorry these look messy in the photo, i’m sure they didn’t when i was taking them, but it seems the light has caught more on here.
I’ve wanted to try doing these for ages. And i’m admitting this is actually being writen and was done at the start of December. I didn’t think my head would feel too good so i did these early.
I hope to wear this to my new years thing, yes i know, a few days back… : S So i’m going to be practicing doing these a few more times before then, this is my first ever go at doing it. And my thoughts are i need to improve. I’ll post a photo of the ones i do wear to the new years party and hopefully it’ll be much better than these. Anyway far too much chatter.

Christmas Baubles! I spent a while wondering how to do these and now have them look like dots.

I haven’t put the tree up in the house yet, and yes i say i haven’t as i’m the one who does it each year. I really like Christmas so it works out fine. The only down side if i’m scared of going into the attic to get the decorations as i don’t like spiders and i’m sure they’ll be waiting to jump onto my face as i go up the ladder……..

So i’ve been painting Christmas nails for you all to see. And annoyingly last night i broke a nail!!! grr. So most of these nails will be painted on fake nails instead.

Christmas nails 2012 – Snow
Snow!! I’ve been searching for white glitter for a while now to see if I could make it look like snow.
I’m actually quite happy with how this looks finished too. I would have changed the ring finger a bit though.
Colours I used:
‘White on White’ by Revlon, ‘Electric Blue (no 39)’ by BeautyUK and ‘Electric (397)’ by Rimmel. and White Glitter
How to … Snowflakes
As i said yesterday here is a snowflake tutorial. It’s all quite easy. You just need a very fine brush. So starting with the photo above this you take the colour you use and you start with the white line down the center of the nail. From here you add another two lines to make a 6 pointed star shape in the center of the nail.
This is the starting point for all of the snowflakes! If you just make this every time then it’s all very easy from this point.

Christmas nails 2012 – Snowflakes
Snowflakes! I adore snow, I get to wear my snow boots!
I tried to use as many different nail varnishes to make the snowflakes on the nails and I love the background texture! it’s like brushes metal. I think it might be my new thing to wear.

Christmas nails 2012 – Christmas Trees
Christmas time! I’m a sucker for Christmas. I love the candles and decorating trees and the house and the baking!
But mostly the presents!!!!
