These are based on wrapping paper and Christmas presents! Complete with bows and ribbons.
It also happened to be day 1 of my 12 nails of Christmas!! So from today onwards expect a set of nails every day! Till Christmas day anyway. See gift, present…….
The colours i used for this look are:
‘ White on White’ by Revlon, ‘Blackout’ by Rimmel, ‘Hot Gossip’ by Rimmel, ‘458’ by Miss Sporty, ‘Blood Orange’ by Barry M, ‘Prince Street’ by NYC, ‘Ninja’ by Collection 2000, ‘Aqua Crystal’ by L.A.Colour, ‘346’ by Miss Sporty and ‘Glitter Red’ by Barry M.
More photos under the cut.
Each nail started with a smile base coat. In order to make the wrapping paper i group 5 sets of nail polish into colours i thought looked like wrapping paper that you get around this time of year. Once i had decided on the colours, i had to figure out what i wanted the wrapping paper to look like, dots or stripes or both.
After the wrapping paper I’d fray I started with a striping tool using holographic polish to make the ribbons. I then took my small brush and started adding in bows the roses on the ribbons.
Once this was dry I added the black outline to the ribbons and bows to make them stand out from the wrapping paper.
Finish it off with a top coat to prevent from chipping and make the design last longer and your done!
I hope you have fun recreating this look
