Christmas Baubles! I spent a while wondering how to do these and now have them look like dots.
Day 4 of the 12 nails of Christmas!!
I haven’t put the tree up in the house yet, and yes i say i haven’t as i’m the one who does it each year. I really like Christmas so it works out fine. The only down side if i’m scared of going into the attic to get the decorations as i don’t like spiders and i’m sure they’ll be waiting to jump onto my face as i go up the ladder……..
The colours i used for this look are:
‘At Fight Sight’ by OPI, ‘Red Glitter’ by Barry M, ‘White on White’ by Revlon, ‘Aqua Crystal’ by L.A.Colour, ‘456’ by Miss Sporty, ‘Jewel Tone’ by L.A.Colour, ‘312’ by Miss Sporty, ‘Ruby Crush’ by Rimmel, ‘Strawberry I/C’ by Barry M, ‘Silver Glitter’ by Barry M, ‘Berry I/C’ by Barry M, ‘Holographic Hero’ by GOSH, and ‘Your Majesty’ by Rimmel.
More photos under the cut.
This one looks harder and busier than it actually is. Which is a good thing really.
I start very simply with a base coat of ivory. Then taking a pastel version of the colours i wanted to used and a small brush i make circles of each colour on the nails. The circles didn’t have to be filled in perfectly as i only wanted to add a bit of colour to the baubles. Then taking a glitter colour that matched i filled in the middle, Again not a tick layer as i don’t need it to look solid, i want it to look like patterned glass. Once this was dry i took my holographic colour i traced the outline of one half of the bauble. Then in a silver i added the hook at the top and using a white i added the strip from which it hangs.
On the ring finger i did loads of smaller baubles all over the nail. I sued the same technique for them all.
See so much easier than it looks. Of course seal everything in with a top coat. This helps keep the glitter in place as well as preventing from chipping the nails.
I hope you have recreating this look.
