So these are my Christmas Pudding nails. I think i’m starting to perfect my drips now.
Let me know if you want a tutorial on drips in the comments and i’ll get one done for your soon.
The colours i used for this are:
‘Dark Brown’ by L.A. Colour, ‘Posh Puddle’ by BeautyUK, ‘455’ by Miss Sporty, ‘Red Glitter’ by Barry M, ‘Caribbean Coconut’ by All About Nails.
There are more photos under the cut.
So i started with the lighter brown base colour all over the nails. I then added the two darker browns in small dashes, mainly on the bottom half of the nails.
Once this was dry i started on the icing on the top of the pudding. I used a nude tone for this instead of white. For drips i took a dotting tool and placed dots around the middle of the nail at varying heights. Then taking my smallest brush and the colour i had used for the dots i started making lines from the center of the dot up to the top of the nail. Where the dot and the line met i used the brush to fan out the line so it got wider till it was the same size as the dot width.
Then at the top of the nail i connected all of the lines together with arches between them.
When this was dry i added a red glitter for a cherry on top.
I hope you have fun recreating this christmas look, very simple and fun. Always remember to seal you nail art in with a top coat, to prevent chipping and make your design last longer.
