Rain clouds

Rain drops keep falling on my head….

Now that Halloween is over we have a while till the next holiday theme nails so back to the odd nails. This one was based off the weather here in the UK, yep, that’s right, sucky weather!

I adore autumn as much as the next person, but i don’t like the rain, the cold is fine, but wet? yucky! So i thought i’d do rainy day nails.

The colours i used for this look are:

‘Holographic Hero’ by GOSH, ‘Electric’ by Rimmel and ‘Sidewalkers’ by NYC,

As per usual, click on ‘continue reading’ for more photos.

I started with the base, to make this (in my opinion) amazing base colour, i took two nail varnishes. One was a dark blue with flecks in, After i painted this on, i didn’t think it was shimmery or blue enough, Which is where the second colour came in. I took a glitter blue and painted two coats of this on top. And tah-dah! I really do like this base colour. I would wear it by itself any day.

In order to make the clouds, i took a dotting tool and started with one in the middle at the top of where i wanted in, Then two other one each side of this but lower down and letting them all overlap. Then finally one in the middle of the bottom just to seal up any gaps that might be there. Then just repeat this process all over the nail to place as many times as you feel you need.

For the lightening bolts i just used a small paint brush and put them in doing a small zig zag as i drew them.

And that’s all there is to this look. I hope you have fun recreating this look!
