Pacman nails!

I’ve been meaning to do this look for a while now, but i’ve been lazy i admit it! So here it is finally.

The colours i used for this look are:

‘Blackout’ by Rimmel, ‘320’ by Miss Sporty, ‘Strawberry I/C’ by Barry M, White on white’ by Revlon, ‘Double Decker Red’ by Rimmel, ‘Bright Orange’ by MaxFactor and ‘Cyan Blue’ by Barry M.

As always, i started with a base coat on the nail to protect them and prevent staining. Then a couple layers of black. Once this is dry it’s time to start with the maze.

All of the walls are done in double lines, so taking a blue and a very fine brush i started drawing them in so you could also see the ends on the walls where the lines connect. In order to get the colour to seem so bright even when painted on black i had to load up the brush with nail varnish, which i wouldn’t normally suggest, then very very carefully paint with the very tip of the brush and slowly let the paint lie on the nail and then repeat over the top again, i find this way you don’t spread the nail varnish around and it doesn’t thin out too much.

Next step was to draw in the characters, For Pacman, i found starting with the small circle then getting bigger until you reach the size you wanted is the best idea. Then taking the black and making his mouth is the best method, and for the ghosts start with the dome top and then the edges then finally the feet. Once this is done then onto the whites.

I used a dotting tool for all the pearls and the eyes, when i first did the pearls i put in too many and it looked silly, so i went back over with black again and took some of them away. And finally the blue in the eyes.

And that’s all there is to it! I hope you have fun recreating this look!!
