Rainbow dots on black

Here’s a simple little look that i thought would be fun to give it a try.

The colours i used for this look are:

‘Blackout’ by Rimmel, ‘Matt White’ by Barry M, ‘Indigo’ by Barry M, ‘Gloria’ by Andrea Fulerton, ‘Berry I’C’ by Barry M, ‘Pulsating’ by Rimmel, ‘749’ by Maybelline, ‘Bright Orange’ by MaxFactor, ‘Spring Green’ by Barry M, and ‘Ann’ by Andrea Fulerton.

Before adding any colours i prepped the nail using nail rescue from Rimmel and used it as a base coat, i did this to protect the nail from staining and to help strengthen the nail. Then i applied two coats of black out on the nail.

Using a dotting tool or cotton bud tip or end of a paint brush, anything that you have which is round, dip it in some white nail polish and start making tiny dots. I started at the base of the nail and worked upwards in a straight line. Then when i placed the second stripe i staggered it slightly and placed the dots in the gaps of the line next to it. I did it this was so when i did the Ring finger and filled in the whole nail not only could i get more dots on it but then i could diagonally stripe the colours.

The reason i put white dots down first is that on a white background the colours would not come up vibrant enough alone. White the white behind it comes out a lot better.

Once the dots are dry i started adding the colours row by row in the pattern of the rainbow.

Once its dry seal it all in with a top coat to prevent from chipping and to make it last longer.

Have fun recreating this look!
